Isabella Abbrescia, soprano, is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of opera. Having recently graced the stage as Tina in Flight, Amy in Mark Adamo’s Little Women and Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Isabella consistently delivers performances that reflect her widely-praised expressive character skills and musicality. Isabella was an Encouragement Award recipient from the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in 2025 and a national semi-finalist in the CS Music competition in 2023.

Her background in ballet, ballroom, musical theater, and modern dance informs her dynamic stage presence and physical storytelling. Currently pursuing her Performance Diploma at Boston University’s Opera Institute, Isabella continues to build on the foundation laid by her previous mentor, Rebecca Folsom, who taught her during her time at Boston Conservatory while she earned her Masters in Opera.
